What this notice means

A related-account deactivation usually means Amazon believes the account is connected to another account that was deactivated, or that one business is operating several accounts without a legitimate reason. The notice rarely names the other account, so the first step is to work out which link Amazon may have found.

Links can be innocent: a shared office, a former employee, a virtual assistant who worked for several sellers, a family member's account or a reused device. They can also be real business connections. The appeal has to describe the relationship accurately, explain why it exists and show how the accounts are separate, or, where they are not, what has been done about it.

Common causes

  • A shared device, network, address or bank account with a deactivated account
  • Staff, agencies or virtual assistants who access several seller accounts
  • A previous account owned by the same person or business
  • Family members or business partners operating separate accounts
  • Reused business documents, phone numbers or email addresses

Evidence that carries weight

  • A list of every Amazon account you, your business or your partners own or have owned
  • Ownership and incorporation documents for each business
  • Contracts with agencies, assistants or service providers who had access
  • Evidence of separate premises, banking and inventory where accounts are separate
  • User permission records where available

How we approach this case

  1. Map the connectionsWe list every person, device, address, bank and service provider connected to the account.
  2. Identify the likely linkWe work out which connection Amazon is most likely to have found.
  3. Explain truthfullyWe describe the relationship accurately, with documents, whether it is innocent or real.
  4. Prepare the appealA clear explanation and, where needed, the steps taken to separate or close accounts.

Mistakes that weaken the appeal

  • Denying a connection that Amazon can see
  • Creating new accounts or changing devices to avoid detection
  • Sending an appeal without knowing which account is linked
  • Hiding a past deactivation from the reviewer

What we prepare

You receive

  • Written diagnosis of the notice and the policy or agreement it cites
  • Root cause statement drawn from your own records
  • Evidence gap list and document consistency check
  • Plan of Action written for Amazon Seller Performance
  • Submission guidance and follow-up reply drafts

What we cannot do

  • Reinstate the account ourselves: only Amazon can make that decision
  • Supply, edit or source documents, or describe fixes that have not happened
  • Help you open a new account or get around enforcement

FAQs

Can I run more than one Amazon seller account?

Amazon allows multiple accounts only in limited circumstances with a legitimate business reason, and the rules can change. Check the current policy for your marketplace. Using a second account to get around a deactivation is never allowed.

Amazon will not tell me which account is related. What now?

That is common. We map your connections to identify the most likely link, then address it in the appeal.

Can an assistant or agency cause a related-account suspension?

Yes. People who log in to several seller accounts from the same device or network can create links. The appeal should explain the arrangement and how access is now controlled.

Is a related-account deactivation the same as a Section 3 notice?

Not always. Some related-account decisions cite Section 3 of the Business Solutions Agreement, while others cite the related-account policy directly. The wording of your notice decides how the appeal is framed.

Are you affiliated with Amazon?

No. We are an independent case preparation service with no special access to Amazon and no internal contacts. Every submission goes through the official route Amazon provides, from your own account.

Can you guarantee reinstatement?

No one can honestly guarantee an Amazon decision. We control the quality of the diagnosis, the evidence and the written response, and we tell you at the free review stage if we think the case is weak.
