Shopify store and Shopify Payments reinstatement
Shopify can close a store under its Acceptable Use Policy, or disable Shopify Payments after a risk review while the store stays open. These are different problems with different routes.

- Confidential from the first message
- Honest about the odds

Why Shopify suspends accounts
Common triggers we see in Shopify cases:
- Acceptable Use Policy findings: restricted products, misleading claims or intellectual property
- Shopify Payments risk reviews: high chargebacks, fulfillment delays, unusual volume
- Identity or business verification gaps
What your Shopify notice usually means
“Your store has been closed”
The storefront is offline. The notice usually cites the Acceptable Use Policy.
“Shopify Payments has been disabled”
Card processing stops and payouts may be held while risk is assessed.
Wording varies. Search more phrases in the Suspension Notice Decoder.
The official route
- Determine whether the store, the payment account, or both are affected.
- Collect fulfillment proof, supplier evidence and policy fixes.
- Respond through Shopify Support or the review route named in the notice.
Evidence that carries weight
- Fulfillment and delivery records for recent orders
- Chargeback responses and outcomes
- Supplier invoices and product documentation
- Updated storefront policies and product claims
Held funds
If Shopify Payments is disabled, payouts may be held for a period to cover refunds and chargebacks. We plan the release request alongside any appeal.
What we prepare for your Shopify case
You receive
- Written diagnosis of your Shopify notice and the policy it cites
- Root cause statement drawn from your own account data
- Evidence gap list and document consistency check
- Appeal or Plan of Action text written for the Shopify reviewer
- Submission guidance and follow-up reply drafts
- Held-funds classification and release request planning
What we cannot do
- Reinstate the account ourselves: only Shopify can make that decision
- Supply, edit or source documents, or describe fixes that have not happened
- Help you open a new account or get around enforcement
How the case runs
Diagnose
Read the notice, the policy it cites and your account data until the real cause is clear.
Evidence
Build a document pack the platform can verify: nothing padded, nothing altered.
Appeal
One precise, factual submission through the official route, written to what was asked.
Protect
Keep the account healthy after the decision and release funds where they are held.
Shopify reinstatement FAQs
Can I switch to another payment processor while Shopify reviews my account?
Sometimes, but it depends on why Shopify Payments was disabled. If the underlying risk is not addressed, other processors will often find the same problem.
What is a Plan of Action for Shopify?
A short, specific document with three parts: the root cause of the problem in your operation, the corrective actions already completed, and the preventive measures that stop it recurring. It is supported by documents Shopify can verify.
Will my Shopify listings and reviews come back after reinstatement?
Usually the account returns with its history, but listings can need to be reactivated or corrected one by one. Check inventory, pricing and listing status as soon as access returns.
Can a related account get me suspended on Shopify?
Yes. Marketplaces link accounts through shared details such as addresses, payment methods, devices and people. If the link is wrong or innocent, the appeal needs to explain the relationship with evidence.
Are you affiliated with Shopify?
No. We are an independent case preparation service. We have no special access to Shopify, no internal contacts, and we do not claim otherwise. Every submission goes through the official route Shopify provides to account holders.
Can you guarantee my Shopify account will be reinstated?
No one can honestly guarantee a platform decision. What we control is the quality of the diagnosis, the evidence and the written response. We tell you at the review stage if we think the case is weak, and why.
How long does Shopify take to review an appeal?
Shopify sets its own review times and they vary with the case type and volume. What we control is preparation: our initial analysis is completed within 24 to 48 hours of intake once we have your notice and documents.
Can I appeal to Shopify myself instead of using a service?
Yes. Every account holder can use the official route, and our guides explain how. People come to us when the stakes are high, when appeals are limited, or when a first appeal has already been rejected and they need to know what was missing.
What should I send you to start a Shopify case?
The full notice text, screenshots of the account status, any appeals already sent and the replies, and the records that relate to the issue. Never send passwords or one-time codes: we do not need them.
My Shopify appeal was already rejected. Is it too late?
Not always. A rejection tells you what the reviewer did not accept. We read it against the original notice and your data to find the gap, and we tell you honestly whether a further submission is worth making.
Will you log in to my Shopify account?
We prefer not to. New logins from unfamiliar locations can trigger further security flags. You stay in control and submit through your own account while we guide each step.
